Prof. Gbemisola Adeoti

The current Director of the Institute is Gbemisola Adeoti, a dramatist, poet and literary scholar. He is a Professor of Literature in English in the English Department of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.

Mr. Akin Adejuwon

Akin Adejuwon obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He specialized in Design and Production of 2- D (Disney type) Cartoon Animation. His Master’s degree from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife is in African Art Studies. He is an Artist Grade I and currently the Acting Curator of the Institute’s Museum.

Artist in Residence
Chief Yemi Ogunyemi

Chief Yemi Ogunyemi retired as the General Manager, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Oyo. A seasoned Broadcaster and former Presenter of the famous Yoruba quiz programme, E’nba l’aya, on NTA Ibadan, he is currently an Artiste in Residence at the Institute. His research focus is on Yoruba drum and music.

Mr. Awelewa Oladimeji

Mr. Oladimeji Awelewa, an Artist Grade I, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. He specialises in Technical Theatre and is currently in charge of technical matters in the Institute.
